Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English artist and songwriter, who goes by the stage name Jessie J. The unique music style that Jessie performs that fuses soul vocals, pop, electropop and hip-hop has earned her notoriety from a young age. Her work has earned her numerous awards and nominations, like the 2011 'Critics' Choice Brit Award' as well as "BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her professional career started at the beginning of her 11th year when she was cast in "Whistle Down the Wind,' one of the musicals written that was written by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Then, she was a part of the 'National Youth Music Theater which was also in the production by the theater 'The Late Sleepers,' which debuted in 2002. The year 2011, when she became famous after the release of her debut album "Who You Are'. In the UK alone it sold 105,000 units while in the US the number was 34,000. It topped the charts at number 2 at the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie has also been known for her charitable work and participates in charitable organizations such as 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
